| Once again, a great growing season at Oxford Landing has helped produce a red wine of richness and concentration. The Oxford Landing Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2001 - 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Shiraz - is deep red in colour with purple hues. Ripe red berries and blackcurrant characters dominate the aroma. The palate is richly textured and layered, boasting sweet plummy Shiraz flavours which are supported by sweet vanillin oak. Subtle tannins and a long flavoursome finish indicate that this wine will age gracefully over the next 5 years. Oxford Landing FactCabernet Sauvignon is the original and oldest planting at Oxford Landing with some vines in excess of 40 years old. These vines are believed to be some of the first planted in the region. |
