| One of the coolest vintages ever recorded at Oxford Landing has produced red wines of great quality with concentrated flavour and colour. "There's no doubt that getting it right in the vineyard remains the key. If the fruit isn't right in the vineyard, no amount of work in the winery can capture the wine that should have been. What we can do in the winery is contribute additional complexity. It's important to get the winemaking/vineyard balance right. We do everything we can to ensure that all the varietal character we've worked so hard to achieve shines through in the finished wine," says winemaker Teresa Heuzenroeder. This wine is also available sealed with cork in some countries. Oxford Landing FactCabernet Sauvignon is the original and oldest planting at Oxford Landing with some vines in excess of 40 years old. These vines are believed to be some of the first planted in the region. |
