| Early January rain caused some initial concern in the lead-up to vintage 2005. However in January the skies cleared, which allowed the canopies to dry out before fruit was harvested; the rain having had no impact on fruit quality. The rest of Summer remained warm and dry. Fruit flavours developed later this year but patience was rewarded with excellent flavours and fine tannin structure in the final wine. Oxford Landing FactVine husbandry is vital in creating microclimates in the vineyard to achieve the perfect balance of light, shade and coolness. Each of these microclimates is managed meticulously to ensure the fruit develops a unique flavour profile to enhance depth and complexity in the final wine. |
