It takes an amazing amount of vision to look at a patch of sunburnt red soil and imagine a vineyard bursting with fruit. That’s exactly what the late Wyndham Hill-Smith did when he founded Oxford Landing in 1958.
As places go, Oxford Landing is something special, almost magical. Nestled along the Murray River, Oxford Landing is a spot you don’t forget in a hurry. Sitting on the bank, glass in hand, the rugged cliffs and native flora reflected in the mighty Murray River. The lifeblood of the community, rippling with promise and wildlife, connecting the community and people.
Six generations later, the Hill-Smith family cares for this iconic piece of land, preserving it for the next generation. It’s this sense of place, and our promise to hand it over in a better way than they received it, that drives the care for the land and community and defines our future.
